Casa Yolanda is located next to the Flying Center in the hamlet of Wichel in the tiny village of Fieschertal in Wallis.Fieschertal is a quiet picturesque group of homes and farms nestled in the Wallis region of the Alps. The chalet’s location is flat, sunny, and accessible all year long, and quiet because it is on a street that has no outlet. So, like Zermatt, we are practically at the end of the world! From our chalet, there are many hiking paths that head off in all directions. We are just 2 minutes walking distance from the bus stop Wichel. By bus, you can easily reach the cable cars to take you up to the Aletsch area, or to the train station in Fiesch, where the Matterhorn Gotthard train leaves every 30 minutes for Brig and longer to Zermatt, directly. There are 7 apartments in Casa Yolanda, of which 6 are available for vacation rentals throughout the year. We take care of our guests in the vacation apartments and welcome you. Casa Yolanda was recognized by CH Tourism as a Swiss Family Lodging. Just 5 minutes away, you will find the ski life Blätz, where children can learn to ski. Daniel Albrecht learned to ski here, and later became a world champion skier. Children can play on the small playground. Families are welcome here with us! The 3 ½-room family apartment is located on the second floor of the chalet „Casa Yolanda.“ With 2 bedrooms, a livingroom, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms, it is perfectly suited for families, or for those who prefer not to climb the stairs to the apartments on the upper floors. All 7 apartments including Apartment Mireille face southward with a view into the valley, of the surrounding woods, and across to the peaks Breithorn and Bettlihorn. Bedroom 1: 2- 3 single beds, 2-drawer dresser, table and chair with a view of the woods, toward the village of Fieschertal and off in the distance the peak Great Wannenhorn in the direction of Finsteraarhorn. Room for an additional children’s bed. Bedroom 2: Two single beds combined as a double bed, with night stands and lamps, a 4-drawer dresser, a sink with mirror, and 2 chairs. Here again there is room for an additional children’s bed. View of the hamlet Wichel with its sunlit homes. Bathroom1: bathtub and shower, sink with mirrored medicine cabinet and sink cabinet; hairdryer, bathrobes and bath towels. Plenty of natural light. Bathroom 2: Sink with mirror and toilet. Large livingroom with tile floor, corner sofa with seating for 6-8, and TV. Sideboard and wall cabinets. Dining area with table and 6 chairs. The table can be extended as needed. Fully-furnished kitchen with electric stove and oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, fondue and raclette sets, and coffee machine. The large balcony has an umbrella and patio furniture, and is a great place to relax. From the balcony, you can watch the paragliders as they glide through the air and land right in front of Casa Yolanda. In front of Casa Yolanda is the landing zone for the paragliding school “Flying Center Oberwallis,” led by Hansi Zeiter. An inviting barbecue area is available for you to enjoy. Pure nature. Fresh air to breathe. Free parking right in front of the house. Wireless LAN is available at no cost throughout the entire chalet. Laundry fee CHF 15 per person (for bedsheets and towels); final cleaning fee from CHF 80-120, depending on occupancy. Children 6 and under stay for free. One pet allowed at CHF 5 per day.
