255 km to the north from Rovaniemi, in the tourist center of Saariselkä in Laanila area. Wooden hut with a partial glass roof (for watching northern lights), built in 2016. Ideal destination in winter time for observing the northern lights and the night sky from indoor. In summer time, hut is lighted by the summer night sun. Double bed (width 140 cm) under the glass roof, kitchen, sauna and washroom/WC in the hut. The glass roof is heated, so it stays clear despite of changing weather. There are no curtains and during summer there is daylight through the night. There is a telescope for observing celestial bodies in the hut. Warm ski maintenance room, shared between four cabins. Revontulikota is a cabin with amenities. It is located near skiing and jogging trails in Laanila. Also lighted ski trail nearby. Ski bus drives via Laanila during the skiing season. Uppermost cabin in the neighborhood of four cabins. Neighboring cabins nearby. Neighboring cabins 13250, 13448 and 13659. Barbeque hut in common use with other cottages in the area (6 cottages). There is a wheelchair ramp to the door of the cabin. Savottakahvila 300 m. Distance to the services of the tourist center of Saariselkä is about 3-4 km. IMPORTANT! On your stay kindly use bed sheets in beds, thank you. On departure remember to close windows and leave the heating on.
