160 km northwest of Jyväskylä, L.Ylä-Jäppäjärvi 30 m (length 5 km, width 1 km), shallow, hard sanded bottom, own boat. Log cottage 2003, living room/kitchen, bedroom double bed, sleeping loft (30 m²) 4 beds, washroom, sauna (electric stove), open porch and balcony. Separate lakeshore sauna with dressing room, shared with neighbouring cottage 8120. Sauna has manual water pump and hot water container on stove. Log holiday cottage on level shore. Neighbour 30 m away is cottage 8120, which shares spacious lakeshore sauna. Lakeshore sauna located midway between cottages. Cottage has high standard furnishings and maintained yard area. Peaceful location, only 2 cottages (this one and 8120) along 1000 m shore/in 22 ha area. The owner rents out 2 kayaks (10€/kayak/day). L. Ylä-Jäppäjärvi is famous for its pike perch. 250 m from cottage are Jäpänkoski rapids, where a lean-to can be used by both cottages. In autumn small game hunting possible (licences necessary). For hikers, 5 km away is Peuranpolku hiking trail, forming part of European hiking trail network. 19 km to Salamajärvi Nationalpark and Koirajärvi fishing area.
