A log cabin surrounded by beautiful island scenery, surrounded by Lake Vihtajärvi. 70 km east of Kuopio. Lake Vihtajärvi 10 m (length 3,5 km, breadth 1 km), deep water, gravel bottom. Pier, own boat. Log cabin 1983, renovated 2002 and completely renovated in 2022 (pictures will be updated during summer 2022), kitchen/living room with 1 extra bed, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in each, sauna, dressing room, shower room, open veranda. A wood fired outside hot tub for rent for 6 people all year round. The availability of the tub must be checked in advance (rented between several cottages). The rent of the tub will be paid to the owner. Outside power point for the car. Summer and autumn: * Fishing, berry and mushroom picking. * Bikes, canoes. Possibility of horse riding. Winter and spring: * Tahkovuori (60km) slalom slopes * Ice fishing. * Horse riding or horse drawn sleighs. Cottages: 2896, 2898, 2899, 2900, 5862, 5863, 5864 The destination has the International Green Key certificate for sustainable tourism. The environmental work of Green Key certified sites includes e.g. resource efficiency by saving water and energy consumption, waste reduction and recycling.
