The municipality of Titisee-Neustadt lies in the southern Black Forest Nature Park. The nearby Titisee is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Germany. The most famous district of Titisee lies directly on the lake. Only four kilometres from Neustadt. With its lake promenade it offers the most impressive promenade in the Black Forest. In the winter there are 23 varied cross-country ski trails and eight varied winter hikes to choose from in the Titisee-Neustadt region. In Waldau there are two Schneeberg lifts and a baby lift with a fairytale slope. Horse-drawn sleighs are available for carriage rides.
On the local mountain of Titisee-Neustadt, the Hochfirst is the highest and longest toboggan run in the Southern Black Forest. Hochfirstschanze is Germany's largest natural ski jump. International competitions and ski jumping championships take place regularly.
Further ski areas are located at Feldberg, twelve kilometres away. Natural ice fields can be found on the two square kilometre natural ice surface of Lake Titise or the ice pond in the Titiseer Mooswald. There is also a tennis hall.
