Bright and spacious former station of the Finnish Border Guard in Eastern-Kuusamo, near the Russian border. 45 km to the east from Kuusamo, Ruka 40 km. Old station building of the Finnish Border Guard, built in 1954, expanded in 1980 and renovated in 2020. Bedroom 1: 2 beds, bedroom 2: double bed, bedroom 3: 2 beds, bedroom 4: 2 beds, bedroom 5: 2 beds, bedroom 6: double bed. Spacious living areas, 2 kitchens, billiards room, dressing room, electric sauna. Note! the caretaker occasionally lives upstairs (private entrance, no shared facilities) if there is a need to do eg. snow work and/or heat the house (wood heating). More information: Pets are not allowed indoors. However, pets can accommodate in the fences outside. Additional equipment: JBL partybox. Wifi internet connection. Drying space for the equipment. Other distances: No visual contact to the nearest neighboring house. Reservations start at 16 and end at 12 (also weekend reservations).
